Our Story
In September of 2018, after months of trying and failing to adopt a dog, I found Raynee. She was a one-year-old blue heeler who had been surrendered to animal control because she “nipped” and “jumped”. To some people that was enough to pass her by, but to me it sounded like a young, energetic dog who needed patience, training, and someone willing to give her a chance. The next day I made an hour drive hoping that things would finally work out, and not long after meeting her I was driving home with Raynee on a rainy day. What I didn’t know, was that bringing Raynee home wouldn’t just change her life, it would completely change mine too.
In June of 2020, our family grew and Mishka, a Seppala Siberian sled dog, quickly became Raynee’s best friend and the perfect balance to her spirited personality. By this time, I had already started making homemade dog treats as a hobby. Treats made with ingredients I trusted and recipes that were easy on my dogs' stomachs.
What started as a small experiment in the kitchen quickly became something I loved. I spent time testing new recipes and combinations, always with Raynee and Mishka eagerly waiting nearby to be the first taste testers. Seeing their excitement and knowing exactly what was going into their treats made the whole process incredibly rewarding.
After a few years of learning, researching, and preparing, I finally decided to take the leap. In December of 2023, I began turning the idea into reality, and by February of 2024, Raynee Day Treats was officially born. Today every treat is made with the same love and care that started it all; simple, wholesome treats inspired by two dogs who mean the world to me.
Raynee will always be the heart behind Raynee Day Treats, because at the end of the day our dogs aren’t just pets, they’re family.
